Hamilton Beach

I moved into my first apartment about two months ago, and I had to buy a lot of things, but there were some things that I just plain forgot about, like a mixer. I volunteered to make cupcakes a while back, and when I was in the middle of mixing the ingredients together, I realized that I didn’t have a mixer or anything, so I ran out and bought a whisk. I was in a pinch. I’ve made cupcakes again since then, and I am really getting tired of using the whisk. It does not work very well, and my arm gets tired. You can probably tell that I do not lift weights on a regular basis if I am complaining about having to use a whisk, but at the end of a long day, I just don’t want my arm to be any more tired than the rest of me.

I am thinking about maybe buying an Eclectrics® Mixer or a Hamilton Beach® Mixer. I really think that a Hamilton Beach® Stand Mixer is the way to go for me. To illustrate just what I think may happen to me if I do not get a stand mixer right away, I have made a video for all of you to watch. Feel free to share it with all of your friends.

Every now and then…

Sometimes you just need a little pick-me-up to brighten up your day. Sometimes it’s an encouraging note or comment on your blog. Other times it’s a good joke. Well, this did it for me.

Oh my goodness, this is hysterical. I know a bit of American Sign Language, so I was curious about what this video would entail. I think you should just see for yourself.

Katharine McPhee

I’m not an avid watcher of American Idol, but I believe this is one of the best musical moments television has ever produced. Katharine McPhee’s voice is amazing. I especially love how she sings “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” in this clip.

Restroom Etiquette

As human beings, we must use the restroom. However, we must keep in mind that there are certain behaviors in a public restroom that are not acceptable. It is a big pet-peeve of mine when someone stands directly next to me when at a urinal if there are other urinals available, and I become even more uncomfortable when they talk to me. I found this video that discusses proper restroom etiquette.

Okay, I found this on YouTube the other day, and mom wants to put it on her blog (so I guess that means it’s appropriate) but I can’t let her put it on hers before I put it on mine. So, here it is!

LOL! I love it!

Much like the rest of the world, I have discovered that I love some of the videos that are on YouTube. I would like to share some of my favorites with you.

The first is a video that has caused a running joke both at my Sigma Nu and in my office at the Statehouse. Please be advised that it has some foul language, especially at the end.

The second video I would like to share with you is made by the same person. This is about muffins, and it just cracks me up because of how stupid it is.

Video number three is a video of a wedding party doing the “Thriller” dance. I’m still trying to convince Taryn that we should do this.

Well, that’s enough for today. I hope you’ve enjoyed the videos!
